Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

Overview of the project

The aim of the project for implementation of a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in Cloud was to improve flexibility, operating efficiency and management costs by providing secure and scalable access to company resources from any place and device.

Objective

The main objective was to create an IT infrastructure that would allow employees to work remotely with the same efficiency as they do in the office, while still guaranteeing data security and simple management of the infrastructure.

The NEXQ solution

We implemented a cloud infrastructure based on the Microsoft Windows platform using state-of-the-art technologies. Thanks to the Microsoft products, we have and manage the devices centrally, guaranteeing that the software and operating systems are updated. These technologies also allow us to install new software for groups of users and computers without having to interrupt the users’ normal activities. This solution has allowed the complexity and operating costs to be reduced, improving the user experience.

Implementation

The project was carried out in several phases: Assessment and analysis of the needs, sizing of the VDI, design of the architecture, data migration and configuration of the virtual computers, staff training and continuous monitoring to guarantee optimal performance and security.

Results obtained thanks to the NEXQ solution

Thanks to the NEXQ Cloud VDI, the company has achieved a significant reduction in operating costs, improvement of employees’ productivity, better data security and simplified and centralised management. Employees can access their virtual desktops securely from any location, and reach the IT resources, Cloud OU or in-company OU, using any device.
