Hyper-converged infrastructure
Overview of the project
Implementation of a hyper-converged infrastructure to optimise IT resources, improve efficiency and reduce operating costs for a company operating in the raw materials storage and distribution sector.
Objective
The company was dealing with the complexity of managing IT resources distributed among various silos, with consequent operating difficulties and high costs. It was necessary to find a solution that would allow the infrastructure to be simplified and efficiency to be improved.
The NEXQ solution
We implemented a hyper-converged infrastructure based on state-of-the-art technology, integrating the computation, storage and network resources on a single platform. This solution allowed the complexity and operating costs to be reduced, while improving overall performance at the same time.
Implementation
The project was carried out in several phases. An initial in-depth analysis of company needs was performed. Subsequently, we implemented the hyper-converged infrastructure, guaranteeing a smooth and seamless transition of company operations.
Results obtained thanks to the NEXQ solution
The hyper-converged infrastructure project has provided the company with a solid and flexible base for facing future challenges, guaranteeing scalability and continuous improvement of operations. Thanks to the new infrastructure, the company has obtained a significant reduction in operating costs, simplified management of IT resources and achieved a considerable improvement in performance and reliability of the system.
Advantages
Simplified management
Integration of the computation, storage and network resources on a single platform has considerably simplified management of the infrastructure. With a unified management interface, it is now easier to monitor, configure and manage the entire IT environment.
Reduced complexity
By eliminating the need to implement and manage separate hardware for computation, storage and network, the hyper-converged infrastructure has reduced the complexity of the IT environment. This simplifies day-to-day operations and reduces the possibility of human error.
Scalability
Hyper-converged solutions are extremely scalable, as they allow computation or storage resources to be expanded easily on the basis of evolving company needs. This approach allows the infrastructure to be resized rapidly and efficiently without significant interruptions in service.
Reduced costs
The hyper-converged infrastructure has contributed to reducing the operating and capital costs associated with management of the IT infrastructure. Integration of resources and centralised management have resulted in savings in purchasing, maintenance and hardware management costs.
Better use of resources
The ability to manage computation and storage resources more efficiently allows the company to make a better overall use of the resources of the infrastructure. With functions such as dynamic distribution of resources and smart allocation, it has been possible to optimise performance and capacity.
Improved reliability
Through the integration of state-of-the-art functions for data protection and redundancy, overall reliability of the infrastructure has been improved. The integrated functions include replication of data, redundancy of components and automatic repair of errors.
